About the event
Joe Wainwright, a former bull riding world champion, puts everything on the line to help his grandson, who requires an expensive, invasive surgery for a brain tumor that isn't covered by Joe's military veteran benefits or the family's insurance. Confronting his painful past, where he broke his neck riding a bull while intoxicated, Joe enters a high-stakes bull riding competition organized by Professional Bull Riders. This event, open to former legends, offers a $750,000 prize for first place. As the oldest contestant ever, Joe must sign an insurance waiver. Throughout his journey, he mends old wounds with his estranged daughter, who had once cared for him after his injury, sacrificing her own career aspirations, and demonstrates that true bravery lies in fighting for one's family.
